Subject to appropriate attribution, users may reuse JCDMS content in several ways.

Author Rights

Authors retain copyright in their published work and may share, distribute, archive, and reuse their articles in accordance with the CC BY 4.0 license.

Authors may deposit their published articles in institutional repositories, subject repositories, personal websites, institutional websites, teaching materials, academic presentations, and future scholarly works, provided that appropriate acknowledgement is given to the original publication in JCDMS.

Third-Party Material

Material contained within an article that is owned by a third party may not automatically be covered by the article’s CC BY 4.0 license. Such material may include photographs, illustrations, figures, tables, questionnaires, scales, instruments, or other copyrighted content obtained from external sources.

Authors are responsible for obtaining all necessary permissions before submission or publication and for clearly identifying any material that is subject to different copyright or licensing conditions.

Author Responsibilities

Authors submitting manuscripts to JCDMS are responsible for ensuring that:

• The submitted manuscript is original and does not unlawfully infringe the rights of any third party.
• All copyrighted material reproduced from other sources has been used with appropriate authorization where required.
• Appropriate acknowledgement and citation are provided for previously published material.
