Become a Reviewer for JCDMS
The Journal of Clinical Dentistry and Medical Sciences (JCDMS) welcomes qualified researchers, academicians, clinicians, and subject experts in dentistry and medical sciences to participate in its peer-review process. Reviewers play an essential role in maintaining scientific quality, methodological rigor, ethical integrity, and the credibility of published research.
JCDMS encourages constructive, evidence-based, and impartial peer review to help authors improve their manuscripts and support informed editorial decisions.
Reviewer Eligibility
Academic Qualifications
Relevant postgraduate or doctoral qualifications, or equivalent demonstrated subject expertise.
Research Expertise
Demonstrated knowledge of research methods, scientific literature, and relevant clinical disciplines.
Ethical Integrity
Commitment to confidentiality, objectivity, research ethics, and professional conduct.

Peer-Review Process
JCDMS follows a double-anonymous peer-review model, in which author and reviewer identities are concealed from one another during the review process. Manuscripts undergo an initial editorial assessment before suitable submissions are invited for independent expert review.
Step 1: Initial editorial screening for scope, completeness, originality, and ethical compliance.
Step 2: Invitation to independent reviewers with appropriate subject expertise.
Step 3: Critical evaluation of the manuscript and submission of constructive comments.
Step 4: Editorial consideration of reviewer recommendations and communication of the decision to authors.
Step 5: Revision and further evaluation, where required, before the final editorial decision.

Confidentiality & Conflicts of Interest
Manuscripts received for review are confidential documents. Reviewers must not share, reproduce, distribute, or use unpublished information for personal or professional advantage. Reviewers should not upload confidential manuscript content to external AI tools or services without explicit journal authorization and appropriate confidentiality safeguards.
Reviewers must disclose any financial, professional, institutional, personal, or other competing interests that may affect their impartiality. Where a conflict exists or appropriate expertise is lacking, reviewers should decline the invitation or consult the handling editor before proceeding.
Ethical Standards for Peer Review
Reviewers are expected to follow internationally recognized principles of ethical peer review, including fairness, confidentiality, independence, accountability, and professional integrity.
Concerns involving suspected plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, image manipulation, inappropriate citations, or other possible research misconduct should be reported privately to the editorial office rather than investigated independently by the reviewer.
